“All In A Day’s Work”
A Labor Day Message
We talk about work. We talk about faith. How does the Lord want us to reconcile the two?

1.God ordained work from the beginning. It was not part of the curse. Gen 1:15
2.God ordained six work days with a day of rest. 
Exodus 20:8-11
3.God warns against laziness. 
Proverbs 24:30-34; 2 Thess 3:10
4.God warns of putting on airs or putting faith in wealth. Prov. 12:9; Luke 12:16-21
5.God warns us not to confuse our work with His grace. Eph 2:8-9
6.God established good works for us to do for His kingdom. Eph 2:10

So then, work is important in God’s eyes. We work for Him because He worked to make us and save us.

 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Eph 2:10
